César Huerta, RSC Anderlecht’s new signing

The Mexican winger has signed a contract until 2029

César Huerta is a ‘Mauve’. The 24-year-old winger joins RSC Anderlecht on a permanent transfer from UNAM Pumas, becoming the first Mexican at the club. He has signed a contract that runs until 2029.

A 15-time Mexican international, César has emerged as a key player at UNAM Pumas over the past 2.5 years. Before that, he spent his early years with his formation club Chivas and clubs like Deportivo Guadalajara.

In 87 games for Pumas, César scored 20 goals and provided 15 assists. He also scored 3 goals in 15 games for the Mexican national team and was a regular in the Copa America 2024 and the CONCACAF Nations League Finals, among others.

Sports Director Olivier Renard:

“César Huerta is a technically skilled and creative attacking player who scores easily. As a Mexican international, it was time for him to take the next step and discover European football. We are obviously very pleased that he has chosen our project at RSC Anderlecht.”

César Huerta:

“I am immensely proud and eager to discover European football at such a big club as Anderlecht. The club put in a lot of effort to bring me here, so I was quickly convinced of my choice and immediately felt a lot of confidence. What I hope to bring to the team? Above all, I hope to be able to make a difference by creating goal scoring opportunities and being decisive.
