Jérémy Taravel remains head coach of RSC Anderlecht

Jérémy Taravel will remain head coach of RSC Anderlecht until the end of the season. Jérémy will lead the first team in the play-offs and cup final.

Jérémy has been part of the first-team staff since last summer, when he joined the club as assistant coach. In February, Jérémy took charge of the first team. Under Taravel’s reign, Anderlecht remained unbeaten for five games, scored 15 goals and qualified for the Croky Cup final.

The first-team staff will also be reinforced with a new assistant coach. German Andreas Patz (42) joins the club from next Tuesday.

Andreas has already worked in the Jupiler Pro League between 2018 and 2020, as assistant coach at Cercle Brugge and Mouscron. At Cercle, his paths also already crossed with head coach Jérémy Taravel. Andreas also gained experience as head analyst with the Hungarian national team and as assistant coach and head coach in the 2nd Bundesliga.

CEO Kenneth Bornauw:

"Jérémy has grabbed this opportunity with both hands. We clearly see a reinforced dynamic between the player group and the staff, resulting in good results and renewed confidence. Jérémy deserves our trust to finish the season, in which there is still a lot to play for. Both in the play-offs and the cup final, we want to be ambitious, as we’ve shown in the past five games."

Jérémy Taravel:

"I am very grateful to the club for the trust. It has never been about me, I just want to be at the service of the club and this group of players and above all build on the momentum that has been created. I want to see the players continue to make progression, so we can grow towards the level required to compete strongly in the play-offs and the cup final."
