Keisuke Goto signs until 2028
The 19-year-old striker has proven himself to be a crucial player for the RSCA Futures
After Keisuke Goto was loaned to Sporting by Japan's top division side Júbilo Iwata in January 2024, the Japanese striker is now making the permanent move to RSC Anderlecht. The young striker from Shizuoka has signed a contract with Sporting for the next three-and-a-half seasons, until June 2028. RSC Anderlecht thanks Júbilo Iwata and its sporting director Toshiya Fujita for the excellent cooperation.
Keisuke arrived at the age of 18 during the winter break at RSCA Futures and despite a radical culture change, it did not take long for him to find his feet in our capital. The Japanese U23-international also immediately made a name for himself on the pitch. In last season's second round, he played in all the 14 Challenger Pro League games and started in 10 of them (75% of playing time). He scored 6 goals and gave 1 assist. Keisuke also contributed to the U19's cup win.
This season, Keisuke has maintained his good form. He featured in all 13 games (98% of playing time) and delivered 5 goals and 1 assist. The Japanese striker is involved in one third of our RSCA Futures' goals. He also scored an important double in the derby victory against RWDM. That 2-1 victory was the start of the current run of six unbeaten matches.
Tim Borguet, Chief Academy, is very pleased with the deal.
"Keisuke is an intelligent player with a promising profile. The 19-year-old 1.91m striker already accounted for 13 goals in 27 games in the Challenger Pro League. Goto combines that quality in the box with a refined technique and an increasing physical volume. The sports management is confident that Keisuke will develop further at Neerpede in the Challenger Pro League to eventually make the step up to the Jupiler Pro League."
