Majeed Ashimeru extends his contract

The Ghanaian midfielder has signed until 2027

Majeed Ashimeru has extended his contract with RSC Anderlecht until 2027. The Ghanaian midfielder has thus signed for two extra seasons.

Majeed has been part of the purple & white family since 2021. The creative midfielder joined us from Red Bull Salzburg and has since surpassed the mark of 100 games for Sporting.

CEO Sports Jesper Fredberg:

"Before looking externally, we have to assess what type of players we already have in the squad. Majeed was struck by injuries last season, but he’s having a strong pre-season and he’s more focused than ever to take the next step this season. We continue to have a firm belief in his qualities and are therefore pleased that he has opted for an extended stay at the club. With his unique profile as a dynamic, fast and always forward-thinking midfielder, he fits our style of play and he can still be of great value to RSCA."

Majeed Ashimeru:

“In the last three seasons at Anderlecht, I have grown as a player and as a person. I’m very grateful to both the club and the fans for their continued support over the past years. They have come to know me as a player, but I have the feeling I have more to give back. I want to do everything within my powers to make the fans and the club proud. That’s also why I’m so happy to extend my contract here."
