He came through the youth academy at Hertha BSC before breaking into the club&#039;s first team at a young age. Following a successful loan spell at Waldhof Mannheim, he established himself as a regular in the Berlin side&#039;s senior squad.</p><p> Last season, Winkler was one of Hertha BSC&#039;s standout performers.
