MAUVE.: an exclusive look behind the scenes of Vincent Kompany's RSC Anderlecht
UNDER EMBARGO UNTIL 25/01 - 9 A.M. CET
MAUVE. is back. This season, we once again offer our fans a glance behind the scenes at RSC Anderlecht. Having achieved fourth place with a young generation Made in Neerpede last season, Vincent Kompany, Peter Verbeke and Wouter Vandenhaute now search for stability in the squad. New faces like Sergio Gómez, Wesley Hoedt and Joshua Zirkzee make their entrance, while behind the scenes, the board works on a much needed capital increase.
The second season of MAUVE. consists of four episodes and two theme documentaries. The first two episodes about the first half of the 2021 - 2022 season will be available for everyone as from January 25th on RSCA.be/WatchMauve, with subtitles in Dutch, French and English.

With new players the likes of Sergio Gómez, Kristoffer Olsson, Benito Raman and Wesley Hoedt, Anderlecht built a new foundation for the first team. The top talents Joshua Zirkzee (Bayern Munich) and Christian Kouamé (Fiorentina) are on loan to strengthen the attacking line-up this season.
Despite a difficult start to the season, being eliminated from European football, Vincent Kompany's troops quickly find their rhythm in the league. After an old-fashioned 7-2 victory against KV Mechelen, however, there is no room for celebration in the dressing room. Assistant-coach Craig Bellamy resigns from his position immediately after the final whistle to work on his mental health. The departure of Craig is clearly a shock for the group, the coach and the entire dressing room.
Episode 2 - 'I would take a bullet for you'

Anderlecht has been performing with ups and downs all season. Not only the supporters raise their voices, there’s quite a lot of discussion in the dressing room as well. We get to experience the turnaround in the crucial game against Charleroi, after which both our coach and the players breathe a sigh of relief and make their way up the table through an impressive run of form.
There is also good news from the financial side. Under the impulse of president Wouter Vandenhaute, the club finally manages to implement the necessary capital increase. And there's more: Head of Sports Peter Verbeke becomes the CEO of the club at the age of only 39.
The two episodes will be available on RSCA.be/WatchMauve as from 25/01. Please always refer to this link in any article.
