Noblesse Oblige

RSC Anderlecht presents its new baseline

On the eve of the new season, Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht presents its new baseline with 'Noblesse Oblige'. A next step in the evolution of the club's renewed identity. 'Noblesse Oblige' will become the official baseline of RSC Anderlecht, the club's compass on and off the field.

The campaign subtly references the club's cultural heritage and is narrated by one of the most beloved princes of the Park, Youri Tielemans. There are the 34 medals, the medallion of Pär (with the carriage with purple and white flowers of Queen Elisabeth in 1908), the protest celebration of Romelu Lukaku, the reflection in the puddle of Vincent Kompany, the moment on the ball of Anthony Vanden Borre and Youri Tielemans' iconic celebration of the 34th national title.

The renaissance of the Mauves, culture above success

RSCA revives. The streets around the Park turn purple again. More than ever, supporters from then and now express their love for the club. And a new generation of supporters also connects with what Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht stands for today. A renewed identity which unites supporters off the pitch, far beyond the 90 minutes of football on the pitch.

The importance of this new identity has been central to the club's commercial policy in recent seasons. RSC Anderlecht is more than a record champion. It is an aspirational institution which has been uniting admirers around the world's most beautiful game for more than 115 years - across generations and languages, despite differences.

With historical values as a starting point; values such as leadership, self-confidence and class. Enriched with contemporary values, such as integrity, inclusivity and social awareness. It is those universal values which give us direction and which distinguish us.

“The club’s identity was crucial in recent seasons, and that now shows: RSC Anderlecht is reviving. More than ever, we want to build on that path we took with our supporters. Today, we are putting a name to the evolution of that identity.”

Tim Borguet, Chief Marketing RSCA

A baseline which unites

'Noblesse Oblige' is a baseline that unites everyone around everything Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht stands for. A baseline which embraces our history and turns the club towards the future. One that appeals to longstanding fans and welcomes a new generation.

Noblesse Oblige literally translates the moral obligation to behave and perform according to his or her position and talent. Wearing these colors is a privilege. We owe it to the club to honour that privilege. To set the bar high, every day. To express our talent. To be aware of our role and the expectations that come with it - players, staff, board and supporters.

‘Noblesse Oblige’ unites everyone around what Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht stands for. Wearing these colours is a privilege. It forces us to be the biggest, even more so than the best. On and off the pitch.

Tim Borguet, Chief Marketing RSCA

This season and beyond

Noblesse Oblige is the new official baseline of RSC Anderlecht. The line will come to live on set times throughout the season of RSCA. But more than that, it becomes the governing principle that must guide the actions of the biggest club in the country and everyone with a purple heart.
