Vítor Bruno appointed as new head coach of RSC Anderlecht
Vítor Bruno (43) is the new head coach of RSC Anderlecht. The club has reached an agreement with the Portuguese coach on a two-season contract.

Vítor Bruno was part of FC Porto’s coaching staff between 2017 and 2025. He managed 29 matches as head coach, won the Portuguese Super Cup and led the team in the Europa League.
Prior to that, Vítor spent 15 years as Sérgio Conceição’s trusted assistant coach. He first worked alongside the successful Portuguese coach at clubs including Braga, FC Nantes and Vitória Guimarães, before joining him at FC Porto in the summer of 2017. This marked the start of seven successful years with the Portuguese giants, during which they added three league titles, four cup wins, three Super Cups and a League Cup to their trophy cabinet.

At RSC Anderlecht, Vítor Bruno will be supported by assistant coaches Vítor Gouveia and Nuno Piloto, who were both part of the FC Porto coaching staff. Jérémy Taravel will also remain on board as an assistant coach.
Furthermore, Pedro Oliveira (physical coach) and Luís Ferreira (goalkeeper coach) will bring additional expertise to the current coaching staff.
Assistant coaches Naïm Aarab and Andreas Patz are leaving the club. The club would like to thank them for their dedication and wishes them every success in their future careers. Arnaud Djoum will join the coaching staff of our U18s next season.
Sporting Director Antoine Sibierski:
“We have conducted a very thorough process to appoint the right head coach and staff suited to the club’s ambitions. With the appointment of Vítor Bruno, RSCA has chosen a head coach who stands for modern, attractive and dominant football. He is also known for his demanding approach, winning mentality and work ethic.”
“As well as Portuguese, Vítor also speaks English, French and Spanish. His many years of experience at a top European club is also a key factor. Furthermore, he pays close attention to the development of emerging talents within the youth academy.”
